Central FSSAI License – Importers, 100% export-oriented businesses, big food producers, and operators in Central Government agencies, airports, and seaports, among others, are all obliged to have this. The Central Government issues this license. Companies having operations in more than one state and annual revenue of more than 20 crores can also apply for it. For one to five years, the license is valid.

Small food producers, storage facilities, transporters, retailers, wholesalers, marketers, distributors, and suppliers, among others, are needed to register with the FSSAI. Organizations with yearly revenues of less than 12 lakh are more likely to require this. For one to five years, the license is valid.

To apply for an FSSAI license, you must provide the following documents:

  • List of directors, partners, and promoters, with full addresses and phone numbers
  • Aadhaar card, Pan Card, and passport size pictures of the food business’s sponsors or directors
  • Proof of address is provided by utility bills or a rental agreement, as well as a no-objection certificate from the owner.
  • The Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association, as well as the Partnership Deed or Certificate of Incorporation, are all essential papers.
  • A thorough inventory of all food goods that the firm manufactures, processes, or stores.
  • The designs for the food safety management system, as well as the layout of the unit with measurements.
  • Name and description of installed machinery and equipment, as well as horsepower.
  • An analytical report on the water to be utilised as an ingredient from a reputable/public health laboratory
  • The directors/promoters/partners/authorized signatory have signed and completed Form B.
  • Import Export Code for a central licencing, especially for companies importing or exporting food.
  • For units with a revenue of more than 18 crores, a chartered accountant’s declaration is necessary.
